The original open source telecommunications project from our Australian organisation has been retired. The source code from services 2001-2006 is available on github (a Microsoft owned social coding developer network). This project enabled the first implementation of an open nurse call interface to integrate with the telephone and data network in Australia. It enabled aged care and health organisations to take advantage of early network convergence which led to lower capital expenditure and new resource management capabilities.
The owner of this Australian business was active in open source network convergence, and the Open CSTA project was referenced in a book and used by other projects and developers to learn how to integrate legacy systems to the world of converged communications.
